Ready to take her music to the next level, McHenry County rising star Lara Bell will be releasing her new pop country single “Couple More Rounds” on August 19, 2022. The song will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and other online music hubs.
To commemorate the August 19th release date, Chicagoland radio station Star 105.5 FM will be broadcasting a Sunrise Acoustic Concert featuring Bell the way she got started – just a girl with a guitar and country music in her heart. The broadcast begins at 7 AM on August 19th and can also be streamed at www.Star105.com. Hosts Joe Cicero and Tina Bree will then debut Bell’s highly anticipated single “Couple More Rounds” at 8:10: AM.
The single “Couple More Rounds” is a classic country heartbreak tune that is expected to really connect to Midwestern country music fans. Bell penned the song as a seamless blend of country and pop.
“It’s a playful acknowledgement that no matter how many rounds you have, you can still miss that certain person. It never fully does the trick,” says Bell of the song that fans affectionately call “The Whiskey Song” due to its creative references to wheat alcohol.
Produced by Sean Mckenzie, the song demonstrates a tone similar to music from crossover sensations Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris.
“The embrace I’ve received throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and our neighboring states has been so incredibly heartwarming,” gushes Bell, who has recently proven a big draw at Elkhorn Rib Fest, the Chicago Board of Trade, Racine County Fair, and as the opener for country superstar Jameson Rogers. She will also be appearing as the opening act for American Idol alum and Billboard chart topper Lauren Alaina on August 20 at Niko’s Red Mill Tavern in Woodstock, IL. A full list of upcoming appearances is available at www.LaraBellMusic.com.
Fans have compared Bell’s voice to the queen of country music herself, Miss Dolly Parton, along with Miranda Lambert, Jewel, Ingrid Michaeslon, Brandi Carlile, Alanis Morissette, and Joni Mitchell. As dynamic and intoxicating as Bell’s voice is, her songwriting is equally as compelling.
“Songwriting is how I express myself. It’s very intimate to share those feelings, but it resonates with music fans. That connection makes it worthwhile,” says Bell. “I try to embrace a universal quality with my songs. I write about things that people can relate to.”
The Lara Bell single “Couple More Rounds” features Bell on rhythm guitar, Mckenzie on electric guitar, Craig Schwartz Sr. on steel guitar, Craig Schwartz Jr. on bass, Dean Sinclair on drums, Georgia Rae on fiddle, and James Gritschke on background vocals.
