Vagabond Angels Releases Romeo Room

One of the things I’ve always loved to do is sing. Most of my life was spent on stage singing in musical theatre productions like West Side Story, Bye Bye Birdie, RENT, Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Camelot.

In 1999 while living in Los Angeles, I released the album Broadway Live! which went on to be the highest grossing album in the history of the Brahma Bull Entertainment label. Sadly, like many smaller labels, Brahma Bull closed down a few years ago so if you have a copy of Broadway Live! hold onto it. One day it might be a collector’s item.

As much as I enjoyed my career as a musical theatre headliner, ever since my teen years I have had a secret desire to be a rock star. In high school I dressed the part of a would-be music icon – wearing spandex and tiger and zebra print.  I was quite the spectacle. That’s when I started gigging with different bands.

Fast forward a few decades. In 2008 I took a leave of absence from the entertainment world. In 2016 I returned to the stage in the drama One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Shortly thereafter, I started working with my music partner Joey Broman writing and performing original songs – giving our collaborations the band name Vagabond Angels.

The singing I do with Vagabond Angels is very different than what I do on stage in musical theatre productions. It is far less Colm Wilkinson or Adam Pascal, and more Dave Grohl or Bret Michaels.

In 2019, Vagabond Angels released our first album – “Man on Fire” which is available on Amazon and Apple Music.’s review states “great lyrics, vocals, instrumentation, and an entertaining mood.” Amazon’s review states “awesome instrumentation and vocals.”

After the release of Man on Fire, Joey and I worked with a select number of musicians to round out the Vagabond Angels sound. We had some great contributions that really helped us cement our musical image.

Recently Joey and I wrote and recorded a new song “Romeo Room”. Described as Nirvana meets Chris Isaak, it is by far the grungiest song we have done. I hope you will give the song a listen. If you like it, let us know and be sure to share the song via your favorite social media platforms.

Peace. Love. Trust.
