Does Trump Support Russian Bounties on U.S. Troops?

Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election to put their puppet Donald Trump in office. Every intelligence agency including the CIA, FBI, and National Security Agency has confirmed this.

It was further confirmed by a bipartisan Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Even former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confessed that Russia interfered with the election.

Trump, who colluded with Russia on the plan, appeased his cult-like followers by saying Russian President Vladimir Putin personally assures him that there was no interference.

Let me say that again. Trump’s followers are willing to accept the word of a knowingly corrupt leader of a hostile foreign nation over the detailed reports of every major intelligence agency. because Trump tells them to.

I don’t know what Trump put in the Kool-Aid, but it’s strong enough to send logic crashing right out the window.

Now comes word from the New York Times that Putin put bounties on the heads of American soldiers, and that Trump knew about it but did nothing. In fact, he did worse than nothing. Since knowing that Putin had put bounties on American soldiers, Trump has called the Russian leader his “friend”, he has sent humanitarian aide to Russia, and he has pushed for Russia to be included in the Group of Seven Summit. The Washington Post has further confirmed that those bounties resulted in specific U.S. troop deaths.

Never one to take responsibility, Trump claims he never knew that Russia had put bounties on American soldiers. Documents however prove that Trump was briefed in writing in March 2020. Former National Security Advisor John Bolton also told colleagues that he personally briefed the President in March 2019 of the bounties – a full year before the story broke in the New York Times.

Obviously, Trump is lying about never being briefed. It’s Trump. It’s what he does. He lies. But what’s more disconcerting is that Trump still hasn’t done anything. He has not condemned Putin for putting bounties on U.S. soldiers. Trump calls the story a “fabricated Russia Hoax”. Yes – he still won’t take action against Russia.

We live in a dangerous time, where disinformation runs rampant.

Whether it is looking the other way on Trump’s collusion with Russia or believing Trump over scientists that the coronavirus will just disappear magically, Trump supporters are like cult followers. It doesn’t matter if Trump is preaching to inject COVID-19 patients with Clorox or attacking hurricanes with nuclear weapons, the Trump fanatics think whatever cockamamie bull crap comes out of his mouth is gospel – logic and morals be damned.

That leads me to the conclusion that Trump followers are gullible. I don’t say that as an insult, but rather as an observation. They are the ones who are easily swayed by smoke and mirrors. To them, Trump isn’t a conman who has gone bankrupt 6 times due to his limited business sense. To them, Trump is a brilliant businessman and the proof is that he has only gone bankrupt 6 times. (That is a quote from an actual Trump supporter.)

Russia put bounties on the heads of U.S. soldiers. Trump knew about it and did nothing. Even if he wasn’t informed before, he can no longer claim ignorance, yet still no action against Russia.

That’s the Kool-Aid that Trump fanatics drink. It is far more powerful than alcohol. And it is deadly. Look at all the U.S. deaths from COVID-19 due to Trump’s failure to act. The U.S. has suffered more casualties due to COVID-19 than in the entire Vietnam war. Experts say the bulk of those deaths could have been avoided if Trump had taken action.  Yet Trump followers worship him like a messiah.

When is enough, enough? To me, Trump’s candidacy should have been over when he made fun of a disabled person. To me, Trump’s candidacy should have been over when he bragged about sexually assaulting women and that he likes to “grab them by the p*$$y.” To me, Trump’s presidency should have been over when it was proven he colluded with Russia. To me, Trump’s presidency should have been over when he was impeached for abusing the powers of his office to blackmail a foreign ally into doing personal favors for him and then covering it up.

Now Trump has the blood of U.S. troops on his hands. As the commander in chief he should have had the interests of our soldiers at heart – not the interests of Putin. But he didn’t. He sold out America to the highest bidder.

Peace. Love. Trust.
