A few years back I became fascinated with the way Ordinary Joe’s could become social media influencers just by stating opinions. The influencers I really admired though, were those that stuck to the rules of journalism in distinguishing between fact and opinion.

I’ve never been one to shy away from sharing my opinions on things so on a whim I started a blog: The Life and Times of Rikki Lee Travolta. I had no idea where I was going with it. I just felt like sharing my thoughts.

Over the years, that blog has grown and flourished. It now includes news stories and entertainment reviews, in addition to editorials. So, I figured it’s high time we give The Life and Times of Rikki Lee Travolta a proper position in the cyberworld.

Short for “Rikki Lee Travolta: News, Entertainment, & Thoughts”, TravoltaNet.com is not only an easy web address to remember and frequent, it’s been redesigned as a true media destination for followers with a wide variety of interests.

This is actually the second incarnation of TravoltaNet.com.

When I was a fledgling entertainer in the early 1990s, I adopted the easy to remember URL because I doubted the general public would be able to remember the unique spelling of my name. As my celebrity grew, I eventually was able to trust fans would be able to handle the RikkiLeeTravolta.com URL that I now use for my official page.

When I adopted RikkiLeeTravolta.com as my primary web domain, I reached out to John Travolta and his siblings Ann, Ellen Joey, Margaret and Sam to see if they wanted to take over the TravoltaNet.com URL. When they did not express interest, I decided to hold onto the URL just in case I might have a future use for it.  Now I do.
